Having chosen the specialty of Horticulture, you will learn:
• to evaluate agri-environment in Lithuania and the EU;
• the morphology and bioecological properties of plants;
• the principles of rational land use and the impact of economic activities on the environment;
• to perform research and summarize the results based on information technology, scientific literature and other information;
• to evaluate the quality of agricultural production;
• how to organize and plan a specialized farm, the patterns of harvest and its quality formation, realization of products;
• to provide advice on plants cultivation and care;
• the existing laws, you will understand Lithuanian business environment;
• to evaluate the quality of agricultural production;
• to create and manage agricultural business, communicate with agricultural specialists and the public in solving business problems.
Graduates will be able to set up and develop their own business - create own farms, work in agricultural companies and organizations, in companies providing landscaping services.
Upon completion of additional studies, graduates will be able to enroll for a Master's degree.
